Three Lions to be managed by Don Fabio

If ALL of the news sites are right Fabio Capello will be named as the new manager for England. I’ve been delving deeply in a number of websites and I’ve come to the conclusion that this guy might be a really good choice for the job. He’s a defensive minded coach who has a reputation for being a grueling taskmaster. He’s been successful wherever he’s gone. Juventus, AC Milan, Roma and Real Madrid all achieved titles under Capello with Milan winning the Champions League title in 1994. I like the fact that he is a no-nonsense manager, he is known to have a very strong character and my personal favourite  - he is hated by Alessandro Del Piero who once said “the nightmare is finally over” when Capello left Juve. Del Piero is a pussy and he didn’t like being pushed to do what was needed for the good of the team. Don Fabio would come in and make the England players work for it. And that’s exactly what they need. The current squad should be shitting themselves.

A lot of people are wondering if John Terry will keep the captaincy. Many are thinking that he has done nothing to lose it. Actually, he did nothing to obtain it in the first place other than being English. Terry’s idea of being captain seems to be exclusive to bullying referees. Instead of leading his team, he spends his time trying to sway results by directing referee decisions, usually through screaming at them. Terry shouldn’t even be the captain of Chelsea (Essien is a much stronger leader) so why is he the captain of the national team? That said, I believe John Terry is a great defender and he can be a leader in the future. He just needs to get over the ’I'm a superstar’ mentality.

There seems to be quite a debate about whether Capello should be England manager since he is not English. Paul Ince, Gareth Southgate, Tony Adams, et al have voiced their displeasure at the England job going to a foreigner. Ince made the comment that there are English managers who are just as good. Really! Where? If you are an English manager that can do the job, FIGHT FOR IT!!! Obviously the FA is run by fucktards who can’t make a decision without worrying about how it will float with the media. England never plays English football internationally any more which makes no sense especially since it is well known that no-one likes to play our physical game and we used to be successful at it. But managers like Kevin Keegan (7w-4l-7d) and Glenn Hoddle (17w-5l-6d) seemed more interested in looking stylish and Terry Venables (11w-2l-11d) was tripped by his off field stupidity. I agree with Incey that there are English managers with the same qualities as Capello, but apparently they don’t have the balls to go after the job and the FA don’t have the balls to go looking for them.

I miss Sir Bobby (47w-18l-30d)
